All music teachers attending the workshop on Monday should report to the Eidson-Duckwall Recital Hall on the Butler campus at 8:45AM.
Indiana Music Educators Association will again sponsor a workshop for music teachers in their first through fifth years of teaching on Monday, November 14, 2011. The workshop will be held at Eidson Duckwall Recital Hall on the Butler University Campus in Indianapolis. Donuts and juice available at check-in; lunch is provided. There is no charge for first- through fifth-year music teachers to attend. For first-year teachers only, IMEA will reimburse your school corporation 50% of the substitute fee they must pay for the day you are attending the workshop. Registration is online; please use the link at the left titled "Online Registration Form." The deadline to reserve your spot is Wednesday, November 2, 2011.
For those who attend the November event, you are invited to attend the follow-up workshop, which will take place Saturday, January 21, during the 2012 IMEA State Convention in Fort Wayne, IN. The cost for the lunch will be $10 per person, and you can sign up for the lunch during the 2012 IMEA State Convention pre-registration process. Details about time & location will be sent in early January, 2012.
First-year teachers (who hold an NAfME membership) receive complimentary registration for the IMEA Convention.
If you plan to attend the January 21, 2012, IMEA Beginning & Developing Teachers follow-up meeting and lunch, you will have the option to register during your online convention pre-registration process. If you cannot attend the convention but still want to attend the follow-up workshop & lunch, please email your contact information (name, school name, address, phone number, email address, etc.) and send a check (for the lunch) in the amount of $10 (payable to IMEA).
