Indiana Music Educators Association sponsored a workshop for music teachers in their first and second year of teaching on November 9.  .Sixty-five first- through fifth-year teachers were in attendance. 

A complimentary follow-up session and dinner will be provided on Thursday, January 17, 2008, just prior to the IMEA Annual Convention for those who attended this workshop.  First-year teachers (who hold an MENC membership) are given complimentary registration for the IMEA Convention.

The purpose of this workshop is to provide new music teachers with support and helpful information.  The sessions will include ideas on classroom management, assessment strategies, incorporating the standards into your teaching, and sharing successes and concerns.
